COMMUNITY SERVICE INITIATIVE: PROPOSAL PRESENTATION

For this week, we had to prepare a PowerPoint presentation of proposals for the colour scheme and wall mural that we intend to do for the module. We have met up previously and discussed on the type and design of the murals as well as the colour scheme in order to prepare for the presentation.

Then we presented our ideas to the class and got votes on the proposal of design and colour scheme that was agreed by majority of the class. The final proposal for the mural is a scenic view of a mountain range. And the choice of colour scheme chosen was a neutral brown tone with gold accent.

COMMUNITY SERVICE INITIATIVE: FIRST TRIP VISIT

For the Community Service Initiative our first visit was mainly to get the briefing on what we need to do, as well as to divide ourselves into groups. For the Community Service Initiative class, we are supposed to help out in redecorating the classroom used by the disabled in the PPOC, located in Old Klang Road.

I had joined the group that is in charge or repainting the class room, as well as to paint a wall mural in the class room. We had measured the class room to get an idea on how big the area is, and to have an estimate on how big our mural should be and how much paint that we would need to have. From there we could plan our next step in designing the mural and purchasing the materials needed.
